Setting Up A ROBO Master File

This tutorial explains how to set up a new file in ROBO Master for cutting with the Craft ROBO. (ROBO Master is a vector drawing program provided with the Craft ROBO cutter.)
- Launch the ROBO Master software
- Open a new file using File > New
- Choose your document settings. (For illustration purposes, we'll just use A4 and portrait orientation.) Select ISO A4 from the dropdown list and make sure the "Portrait" check box is selected.
- Your new blank document should look like this (refer below). Note that yours will be bigger on the screen - I've zoomed out to reduce the image size. The pink rectangle indicates the cutting area. The Craft ROBO can't cut anything outside these lines. You'll need to make sure that anything you want to cut is within this area. The black criss-crossed marks on the top-left corner of the page and both corners at the bottom are registration marks. Registration marks are used by the Craft ROBO to line up your media in print and cut operations. The Craft ROBO reads these marks to find out where to start cutting. (We're setting up for cutting only, so we won't be needing them.)
- To remove the registration marks, go to Edit > Registration Mark Settings.
- In the Registration Mark Settings window, uncheck the box that says "Use Registration Marks". Click "OK". The registration marks should disappear.
That's it! You're now ready to draw or trace something to cut with your Craft ROBO.
