This page explains how to add a signature line and a photo or avatar to your user profile here at The Scrap Witch.
To access the appropriate user profile page where your signature line and photo are located, click on the "About You" tab (shown below) in your user profile. If you're not sure how to access your user profile, refer to our Managing Your User Profile tutorial.
About You Screen
Each item on the About You screen is discussed briefly in turn.
You may enter your homepage/website url if you have one.
You may enter your location. This information is publicly available to other members. We recommend a State only.
The signature line appears on your forum posts and site comments. You can have a slogan, quote and/or a website url here. (Note that line feeds and carriage returns are not recognised.)
You may upload a small image (sometimes known as avatars) to your user profile. It is displayed alongside your forum posts. To upload your image, use the "Browse" button provided to locate an image on your computer's hard drive. Click "Open" to select the file and then click the "Save Information" button at the bottom of the screen to upload it to your profile. Images are limited to a size of 128x128 pixels.
Enter some brief information about yourself that you would like others to know. This helps other members get to know you. We recommend however, that you limit your bio to non-identifying information for your own protection.
This field (not shown above) is generally not used. You may leave it blank.
