This tutorial explains how to upload an image to the gallery here at The Scrap Witch. This example shows how to upload an image to an album in the Members' Gallery.
Navigate to the album that you wish to upload your image to. Click on the album thumbnail to navigate inside the album (refer below).
Select the "Add Media" option from the "Options" dropdown list (refer below).
1. It is highly recommended that you use the "Web Browser Upload" method to upload your images (refer below).
2. Click the "Browse" button to locate the image file on your computer. Click the "Open" button to select the file. If your image is not a jpg file, you may need to click the checkbox to preserve your file type. Other file types might include gif or bmp files.
3. Enter a title for your image
4. Enter a description for your image (optional) - this might include a supply list or just some background information about your image.
There is provision in the form for more images. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Save" button to upload your image (refer below).
Uploading your image might take a few moments depending on the size of your image and your connection speed. A system message will advise if your upload was completed successfully (refer below).
Click on the link provided to see your image in the gallery (refer below).
If your image is bigger than the maximum limits allowed by the gallery, your upload will fail. We recommend resizing your images to 400x400 pixels for a square image, or 600x450 for a rectangular image. You also need to ensure that your image file is no larger than 100kb.
You will need an image editing program such as Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to resize your file, or there are also free online tools available to help you do this. Google "resize pictures" to find them.
